The HDTV Bubble

August 31st, 2008 by Admin

The world is changing. Not so long ago, people were taken by the first black and white tvs As TVs took off, the marvel of the achievement was enough to distract from any lacking in image quality. Then most people rejected their old sets once color TVs came onto the market. An finally, in line with the proliferation of blue ray, satellite tv and great video games, HDTV has ushered in another new age. Gone are the days when you could be happy with washed-out colors and a low resolution. Now you want a clearer picture and sharper colors, and you want it all for an affordable price.

HDTV is the pinnacle of TV technology.Throw out your old set top box! HDTV provides a supreme image. Picture it this way, watching a standard TV is like viewing the world through a dirty windowpane. With HDTV, there is no window. The images on the television screen are as close to lifelike as you can get, that is, without actually getting off the couch and watching real-life images. An HDTV can accomplish this feat with its high resolution; a million pixels, often more, combine to create a brilliant picture that will wow any viewer.

But does it provide value for money? Fortunately, prices are falling every year. Five years ago, most people were priced out of the HDTV market.

But things are not always as straight forward as they seem. Owning an HDTV does not guarantee you the whole high-definition experience.First, you will need a high-definition cable or satellite box. This sends the HD channels to your television; without one, you can only watch standard programming. Second, you will need high-def channels. Your cable or satellite provider offers a line-up of HD channels, though the number of available HD channels is nowhere close the number of available standard channels. Third, you will need an HD show or movie. Not all shows broadcast on an HD station are necessarily high-definition; news programs are often broadcast in standard-definition, as are most daytime programs. If you are watching a standard-def show, you may see a black bar on either side of the screen. Also, since you are watching a standard-def show on a high-def screen, the picture will not be nearly as clear or as sharp as with an HD program. Only when you have all three elements – an HD box, channel and show – can you experience television like never before.

Visit Futaratty if you are looking for an LCD TV or any other television accessories.

Online Dating Tips, to Help you Survive Internet Dating

August 28th, 2008 by Admin

If you plan to search for your soul mate online like the 40 million other people in the world you should be aware of a few tips that will help you along the way. Internet dating is a fast, safe and very easy way to meet people, so what do you need to know?

First off when you sign up to a dating site you need to fill out your personal information, such as age, height and body type. Do yourself a favor do not lie! It’s useless to lie about yourself, likes, dislikes, occupation, etc… If you ever plan on actually meeting people in person from internet dating services, then be honest.

Photos are very important if you plan to get as many responses as possible. Men especially will search through profiles with photos only and contact people based on their appearance, so it’s important to have a photo. Post a recent photo of yourself, not one that was taken 10 years ago, this can be deceiving if your appearance has changed. Ladies watch your email inbox fill up if you put a photo on your personal ad. The amount of emails you will receive will amaze you.

Try not to jump into sex talk in your profile too much, unless you are on a site like Adultfriendfinder.com. People might be scared off if they think sex is your only reason to want to meet them. We are all sexual beings however keep the sex chat in the background in the beginning.

When you do find someone you are interested in take it slow! Send a few emails back and forth, chat on instant messenger then work up to a telephone conversation. Don’t ask to meet right away, and do not meet right away. You need to be smart and stay safe. When it comes time to meet in person, do so in a public place and take your own transportation. I’m not trying to scare you, it’s just important to be safe, while meeting people you know very little about.

Try not to discuss previous relationships as this is a big turn off for people. No one wants to hear about negativity especially when you are first getting to know someone. Be positive and your personality will shine.

If you have already starting searching through dating sites, you can see that their is an endless supply of men and women looking for casual dating , romance and marriage. It can be overwhelming to try to find something you like because now you have too many choices compared to the real world. Don’t get overwhelmed, this is easy to do. Write down what you are looking for and search for people who fit your requirements.

This might be a no brainer but do not ask someone to marry you when you first start corresponding with them. And don’t say that you love them or they are your soul mate right off the bat, this might not go over too well. You would be surprised at how many men do this! The bottom line use your common sense, be honest, take your time and have fun!

How To Naturally Turn Your Slow Metabolism Into a Fast Fat Burning Machine

August 28th, 2008 by Admin

When Thanksgiving, Christmas, and other holidays come around where I eat more than usual, I never feel guilty about how much I had eaten. The reason is because I’ve learned how to train my metabolism to burn enough body fat to allow me to have more “cheat” days. I’m not saying to eat anything and everything once you increase your metabolism (this is unhealthy), but what I am saying is that once your body is use to being in the fat burning mode, the guilt of eating “fattening” foods on holidays is not there (at least not for me). Whenever I feel that my metabolism is slowing down, I don’t worry at all because I know exactly what to do to get my metabolism back on its fat burning track. Once you understand how powerful your metabolism is when you feed it energy (continuous small meals throughout the day along with exercise) and how powerful it is to burn fat, you will experience guilt free “cheat” days too.

Increase metabolism for easy weight loss and fat burning

Metabolism = the amount of calories our bodies burn per day.

To permanently lose body fat weight, you must increase your metabolism. In order to increase your metabolism, you must do weight training exercises to condition your muscles and feed your metabolism by eating regularly throughout the day.

A slow metabolism results in less fat loss

When we lose weight, we also lose protein from our muscles. The faster we lose weight (by cutting down too much on our calorie intake), the more protein is used for energy; and when you lose too much protein from your muscles the result is a slow metabolism. This happens because your muscles need protein to grow and stay strong. When protein is taken from your muscles, you lose muscle tissue. Muscle tissues are metabolically active and burn calories (even at rest). Your body needs calories to feed these metabolically active tissues so that it has energy to continue to burn calories. The calories that are burned also come from the fat that is stored in your body. So in other words, the more calories you eat, the more energy your metabolism has to burn the fat that is stored in your body. Without the calorie intake, your metabolism has no energy therefore it will slow down and you will burn fat at a very slow rate (if you burn any at all). Having energy is not the only reason for a fast or slow metabolism. You see, when you significantly cut down on your daily calorie intake, your metabolism burns calories slower to prevent your body from starving. Being that your body now doesn’t know when you will feed it; your body will store the calories to be used later. The calories that are stored, are stored as fat.

Increase your metabolism and lose more body fat weight than water weight

When you lose protein from your muscles, you not only lose muscle tissue, but you will also lose water. Protein holds about 4 times its weight in water. To lose 10 pounds of body fat, you would need to burn 35,000 calories (3500 calories = 1 pound). If you lose those 10 pounds in one week do you honestly believe that it was body fat? The answer is no, only about 2 pounds was fat and the rest was water (Do not be fooled by what the scale says!) When you increase your metabolism, your body has a reason to hold onto the protein (remember protein holds water) and use the energy to burn fat.

Yes you will lose some protein from your muscles even if you lose weight the right way. The key is to provide your muscles with enough protein each day so that it can not only replace your protein loss, but use the extra protein to help build new muscle tissue and stay conditioned.

Eat more food to increase your metabolism

Protein helps build muscle, but carbohydrates are your body’s main source of energy. When your body has a deficiency of energy (carbohydrates) and takes the protein from your muscles as energy, the protein is converted to carbohydrates before it’s used as an energy source. Therefore, when you eat, you must have the right amount of carbohydrates and proteins in your body so that energy can be used efficiently. You must also eat more frequently to fuel your metabolism all day long. Eating at least 5-6 small meals each day will give your metabolism the continuous supply of energy it needs to burn fat longer and faster. If you are short on time and not able to cook, do not resort to eating junk food as one of your meals; instead opt for a good meal replacement product to satisfy your body.

Exercise to increase your metabolism

Exercise in general burns calories. Weight training will help you to increase your metabolism because that is how you condition your metabolically active muscles. Whenever you increase your physical activity, especially through exercise, you must increase the amount of calories you consume each day. Remember, the more energy (calories) you give your muscles, the more energy it has to burn fat that is stored in your body. Also remember the less energy you give you body, the more protein will be taken from your muscles to be converted to carbohydrates as energy, which leads to a slow metabolism.

Freelance Publisher Writers: What They Are Doing To Rake In Millions Of Dollars Online

August 28th, 2008 by Admin

Life was basically very difficult for any freelance publisher writer operating in the offline days. I know because I was one for many years. Being freelance means freedom, but there is always a very high price to pay for that freedom.

Who is a freelance publisher writer? This is basically a self publisher. Or a writer who publishes their own writing.

Even with my special knowledge on printing that cut down my production costs to less than half of what everybody else was paying in those offline days of my business, life was still very much of a daily struggle for survival. With the benefit of hindsight, what I can say is that there was just too much to do for the offline freelance publisher writer to be a viable preposition. There are of course many a freelance writer publisher who made it big in those days. But it is instructive that a vast majority of self publishers ended up selling their books to big book publishers at the first opportunity. This trend continues to this day.

Why The Freelance Publisher Writer Thrives Online

Then the World Wide Web came calling. At first it offered no special advantage to the freelance publish writer. Then suddenly without any warning, drama. Blogs burst into the scene and all of a sudden everything changed. To many a freelance publisher writer, like myself, it was too good to be true and it was feared that this was yet another of those fads that come and go on the net. A little like the ebooks fairy tale that disappeared in smoke like it had never existed.

Fortunately blogs had arrived to stay and to date have played the biggest role in revolutionizing the web. Gone were the days when a freelance publisher writer would have to wait to register a domain and spend a couple thousand dollars to build and design their web site. They would do all this only to find that they needed to pay more to promote their freelance publisher writer’s web site to get any decent traffic.

The happy situation for the online freelance writer publisher now is that they simply need an idea. The next part is much easier. They can then set up a blog (an exercise that will take a few minutes – 10 minutes at the most) and immediately begin to write and post articles.

If they understand the basics of blogs, and their idea is sound, chances are high that within a few short weeks, the site will have a huge regular traffic and it will already be generating an excellent income for the freelance publisher writer.

If blogs were not created for the freelance publisher writer, I do not know who they were created for.

Cambodian Resort: “Virtuous Woman’s Breast” Mountain

August 25th, 2008 by Admin

One brand-new Cambodian tourist resort has just been boosted! Virtuous Woman’s Breast Mountain located about 400 Kilometers from Phnom Penh. This resort is one of the most attractive resorts of Mondolkiri province, a province famed for its ethnic domination. This resort is not well-known like other resorts, due to its remoteness and road insecurity, but it is one of the Cambodia’s priceless cultural/natural heritages. On the top of this mountain, tourists can see the whole Senmonorom downtown, the busiest downtown of Mondolkiri province.

Why Does This Mountain Have Such A Peculiar Name?

Because of her physical appearance! This mountain looks like a woman sleeping upright with her breasts point to the sky. This mountain’s original name was “Chi Hove Hill”, but was then renamed “Virtuous Woman’s Breast Mountain” in 1961. The reason for changing her (the resort’s name) is dependent on what stated above; her physical appearance.

Not only for the purpose of entertainment, Mondolkiri’s inhabitants believe that this mountain also embraces divine power. Every year Pnong ethnic group (one of the ethnic groups, inhabited in Mondolkiri province) takes buffalo and their own wine to donate to holy-power-holders, so that they can wish for lucks, fortunes, merits…etc. This is one of the most spectacular ceremonies.

The Story

“Virtuous Woman’s Breast” mountain has her unique story of why she has such a name. The story runs as follow:

Long ago, there was a man named Sroh and a woman named Plom. Two of them are engaged to one another. Two of them, without reason, vanished in this mountain in different times. Plom’s disappearance happened when she went to get the water in one pond to be used in celebrating “Rice Ceremony”. Her family tried really hard to get her back, by discovering everywhere and preying for god. And her future husband, Sroh, also vanished while finding the logs.

Too many years after, while Plom’s parents were logging near the pond (that Plom got lost), they found Plom and Sroh talking with one another. Her parents took them back home. But we don’t have information about what happened when two of them were losing. After the family reunion, the domestic inhabitants started to call the mountain: ” Sroh-Plom Mountain”. And later one, that mountain is called “Virtuous Woman’s Breast” mountain, until today, without precise reason.

Due to Cambodia’s lack of resource centers and scholars, I know that this story lacks too much useful information to make it easy to understand and reasonable. Much more information must be discovered by related institution, individuals and even I, myself.

Virtuous Woman’s Breast” Mountain Today

Big or small, believe it or not, Cambodia has now stepped into betterment than the last two or three decades, many lost tourists’ attractions are now continuously introducing to the world. Among them, “Virtuous Woman’s Breast” mountain has attracted many tourists, domestically and internationally. But, it is far less than just enough for the survival of the people living in the area.

Tourists are exactly the most important sources for those people’s welfare and basic needs. Your decisions to travel to “Virtuous Woman’s Breast” mountain will be completing two things: healing your soul and helping the poor. Cambodia’s public transports, infrastructure, and internal security are getting a lot better. We even have tour companies to escort you to the destination. The close culture of the minority groups living there is increasingly opening it up and accept new culture.

Cambodia has too many cultural and natural heritages that can be of valuable national revenues, but lack of promotions and handicap in international relation have veiled those precious magnets. Tourists, bureaucrats, the educated and all other, I think, would be able to effectively make a positive difference to Cambodia.

In all over the world, tourism always stands among the top priority in bringing national revenues, Cambodia, alike, is lucky to have been descended many heritages. France, for example, tourism plays extremely decisive role in increasing national revenues to the treasury. ” Cambodia is lucky to have the materials, but we are even luckier if we can use the materials in the smartest way.

Note: The valuable thing for the people living in the area is “salt”. So please, don’t forget to bring packets of salt for them.

Set Up Your Online Business for Less

August 24th, 2008 by Admin

Are you starting an online business with a small budget? That’s OK. Online businesses are one of the lowest cost businesses to run – if you know what you need to pay for and where to go.
Follow these suggestions for getting your website set up inexpensively while not sacrificing quality. There are some things you need to pay for (and this will tell you how much) and other things you can do just as well for free.
STEP ONE: GETTING A DOMAIN NAME
There’s no reason to pay more than $10 for a domain name, so feel free to shop around. Domains are important because they give you credibility as a business.
Free websites do not enable you to have your own domain name so instead you end up with mybusiness.freespace.com instead of mybusiness.com. See the difference? Your customers expect you to put some money into your business and this is a clear tip off that you are not doing that – and for $10, why shouldn’t you?
STEP TWO: FIND A HOST
Hosting plans vary considerably. Much of what you pay for will be determined by the features your hosting account provides with its service.
Are you setting up a simple, one page site? You could probably use a low cost host for $5 per month. Do you need some extra help with templates and layout or expect a high amount of traffic or downloads? You may have to pay more but it can be well worth the extra expense to have integrated webpages already set up or to ensure your host is providing you with enough bandwidth to handle the traffic on your site.
Never use a free host, unless perhaps you want to start with a blog or similar format while you get your own website up and running. Free hosting usually means you pay in other ways – lack of a domain name or a lack of quality. Many free hosting accounts are for personal use only and do not allow commercial accounts. Try to get recommendations from others when looking for a good host.
STEP THREE: DESIGN
As previously mentioned you can find professional templates on some hosting services. These can give your website a professional polish without the expense of hiring a designer. You are limited, however, on the look you choose depending on the variety of designs available.
Templates are also available to others so your site may have the same appearance as someone else. If you need custom work done consider hiring a freelance web designer from a site like elance.com or ask a local student studying web design. Freelance sites often put you in touch with new designers who will charge less while building on their experience and adding to their portfolio.
Spending money wisely is important when starting any business, but some free services will cost you in reliability or image. On the other hand there are some cheap deals you may not hear about so don’t give your hard earned money (or worse – your credit) for a service you can pay less for and get the same results.

Knowing Your Market ~ The Key to Good Sales Copy

August 21st, 2008 by Admin

One of the most important facets of good copywriting is
knowing the market you’re writing for. You must know what
this market is looking for and what problems it needs to
solve. Once you know the answers to those two questions you
can write effective persuasive copy that will bring you
results.

Writing generic ads that aren’t directed to a specific
target group won’t work no matter how well crafted the ads
are. So, the first thing you need to do is learn everything
you can about your market.

There are several ways you can do this:

• Surveys – You can simply ask what your prospective
customers are looking for.

• Canvass your customers – Ask your present customers what
they like about your product or service. Ask them what
specific thing makes them keep coming back to you.

• Forums and Message Boards – Visit as many as you can
every week. You’ll be able to tell from the discussions
what problems your market is confronting and how you can
best offer solutions.

• Ezines and Newsletters – Read everything you can find
that reflects the thoughts and feelings of your market.
The more you can learn the stronger you can make your
sales copy.

Once you know what your prospective customers are looking
for, you can write sales copy that targets their problems
and offers them solutions. No matter how wonderful your
product or service may be, if your sales copy doesn’t offer
solutions it won’t be effective.

You’ve heard it a million times and are about to hear it
once more ~ because it’s that important ~ your target
market is only interested in what your product/service can
do for them. That’s what your copy must stress if you want
response.

Push Those Emotional Buttons . . .

When you know what problems your product can solve, show
your prospective customers how they’re going to feel once
they have that solution. That’s where so-called “hot
buttons” come into play. Since most purchases are made on
an emotional level, that’s where you must appeal to your
market.

In other words, if you’re selling a diet program tell your
reader how she’ll feel once she’s lost 20 pounds. If your
words can make her feel she’ll be more attractive, full of
energy, more confident, ready to take on the world with her
new body and attitude, chances are you’ll gain a new
customer.

Writing effective ad copy comes down to knowing what
problem your prospect has, providing a solution and
describing that solution in terms that appeal to her
emotions.

When you apply this formula to your copywriting you’ll find
your response will increase many times over.

Unscrambled Eggs

By Nadia Brown

Review by Aaron Paul Lazar

Author of the LeGarde Mystery Series

Unscrambled Eggs is a lyrical album of profound poetry. It glistens with quiet reflection entangled with sentiments of abandonment. Forlorn, lost, adrift on a sea of real emotions – Nadia Brown speaks with words not often combined. Take, for example, the following stanza from “Deprived.”

My Crayola lips

plum of eyes, cello of body

are sick with need.

Crayola lips. Cello body. Sick with need. In thirteen short words we sense the image of a woman painfully alone and uncomfortable in her body. In the last stanza, we are assured of this stinging vision.

A rousing verse,

a mangled rose, a sigh of jazz

all sings your absence

Nadia Brown’s imagery is strong and unexpected. The combinations of words are surprising, refreshing. These are not common poems. The tang of gritty despondency permeates the pages, in spite of the artistic composition. There is no pretense here. No false polish, cute rhyming schemes, nor purposeful cadence. In such an environment, only the imagery stands alone, spilling honest visions on the page.

Among the sixty verses lies another favorite, “There Were No Bells.”

She said there were no bells,

only her clam hands

and fretful feet rattled in the eve.

The sirens would not go off

nor did her knees faint

from the tie-dye of bliss

She felt no quakes,

no bumble bees,

no panic sharks reeling

in the pint of her belly.

Not once did her shoelace hair

curl like ringlets

not once did she hear bells.

Uncommon pairings, curious verbs, and a splash of liberating spirit develop as the poetry travels through time. As Ms. Brown works through emotions of despair, a stronger woman evolves. The work sings of survival while painting distinctive images of the world.

Examine these vivid phrases from “Fishing for Salmon.”

a laundry of birds gather

in a fold like sheep

like a fistful of jellybeans in a bottle

and:

there is some wind

flossing back and forth between homes

This unpretentious yet moving collection of poetry will earn a place of honor on your bookshelf. Don’t be surprised if you are drawn to reread it over and over again.

The Sector for Gaming Laptops Has Turned into an Intense One

August 17th, 2008 by Admin

The times where gaming notebooks were a niche sector are vanishing very rapidly. Before the small number of sales was made up by the profit margins. These desirable notebook computers were just unaffordable. They the the most revolutionary technology and simply the best laptops. I reckon they would provide us with an indication of what’s to be released but nobody would really buy laptops for gaming at that time. The primary manufacturers have lately set about taking advantage of massive opportunities in gaming notebooks, so that is all changing.

I reckon they could categorise it as a premium notebook and make good amounts of profit on these particularly with their economies of scale. Markup has been so narrow recently that this is a fantastic opportunity to get more cash by selling computers. I am pretty confident that many would buy laptops if marketed to everyone by these massive brands. For sure this would be the end of local companies? The top end technology will rapidly make its way into the eyes of the everyday customers. I believe purchasing from a recognisable brand also gives the perception of added value for money.

I think its some what laughable that because it comes with a brand name they are automatically considered the best laptops. This holds the potential to be increasingly positive for little resellers. I can see the service of getting to customize the notebook to be a cardinal purchasing factor. Generally this kind of buyer is in the know in regards to the technology and can easily compare configurations. In my view I believe people care more about the speed ahead of styling.

All the changes are really beneficial from the consumer’s position. The competition amongst the established manufacturers should force prices down as they attempt to separate from one another. I say that with a feeling of doubt though. Brand new notebook computers are constantly coming out and these latest models usually demand high prices. It is tough to know what will happen now that the global companies have gotten involved in manufacturing gaming notebooks.

http://www.rizeon.com appear to be selling their gaming notebooks at low prices to compete with others.

Diet and Fitness, Winning Tactics For Weight Loss

August 16th, 2008 by Admin

Tell me, does this describe you? ‘I tried a zillion diets in fits and starts and was never successful.’ Just going on a diet will not give you a complete healthy persona. I finally paid attention to what everybody was saying, but I was too lazy to do.

I added exercise and fitness to the equation. We also need to stay fit as well as diet to lose weight. Our true wealth is our health. Isn’t it worth your time bring it into peak condition and maintain it? Diet fitness is all about an accurate mix of diet and an appropriate fitness program.

This basically includes three levels of consideration:

1. Balance-A balanced diet must contain carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamin, mineral salts and fiber in well proportionate quantity. Carbohydrates are the source of energy so these play an important role in balanced diet. Intentional inclusion of all foods from fruits to vegetables and meats to grains.

2. Moderation- portion control, small quantity at regular intervals. I had to laugh when I heard the results of a 5-year study costing millions of dollars the government ran to find out why the population of the US is getting heavier. The results…they determined we eat larger quantities! ‘Super Size it!’

3. Variation – wide variety in foods, means higher chances of complete nutrition. And variety in your workout routine means a greter chance of sustaining it.

It is a well-known fact that poor diet leads to diseases, like obesity, even cancer and heart disease. The link between diet and physical fitness has well been established and recognized as a science in itself. It’s the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity. How do you balance diet and fitness? What changes in your diet and fitness regimes will prove to be the most beneficial ones?

These questions may have been on your mind for a long time but you didn’t know where to start. I let the paralysis of analysis prevent me from getting started for a long time. I wanted the ‘perfect’ fitness plan. My advice? Just get started anywhere, but get started. There are the solutions at your doorstep. First and foremost, you need to ensure that the diet you are on, supplies you enough strength and energy to carry out the fitness training which means:

The basic fitness diet should:

1. Have a wide variety of foods– wholegrain breads and cereals for vitamins and minerals, leafy green vegetables for iron fueling, fruit for adequate fiber, lean meat and Fish (lowers cholesterol and helps prevent cancer) and low fat dairy products.

2. Enable you to have optimal weight and energy to carry out daily activities with ease.

3. Enhance quick and complete recovery during exercise.

4. Supply enough fluids to have maximum hydration.

5. Provide both short and long term benefits and ease of maintenance.

When the above criterion is satisfied, you can confirm that you are on a diet that is not starving you or running you the risk of malnutrition and weakness. Fitness programs can include not only basic gymnasium but modern techniques like dancing, aerobics and yoga for variety and fun. If it is enjoyable it will be easier to maintain.

Make no mistake about it, fitness regimes help you speed up the process of loosing weight along with the diet. That is the key, the magic diet accelerator. So eat healthy, exercise and be wise!
